Growing up my parents taught me about God, sent me to Sunday
School, Vacation Bible School, and taught me how to pray. I wasn’t able to attend church often, however,
because my father was in the Air Force, we traveled extensively, and my mother didn’t drive. I asked the Lord
into my heart when I was in 3rd grade in Okinawa, but didn't really understand the true meaning of a personal relationship
with God. I had good representation of devout Christians through my parents, grandparents, and friends. I loved
to sing from the time I was a baby, and mimicked voices on the radio etc., however, was very shy, so wouldn't sing in front
of anyone. I married a Godly man at the age of 18, and saw in him a passion for God, and prayed with him and my pastor, Dr.
Desist (King Street Baptist Church) to receive the Lord as my personal Savior, and soon after was baptized. I became involved
in the church choir, and the choir director at the time gave me a small solo part in a Christmas Cantata. I was scared to
death to sing a solo due to I had only sang in groups etc., but made it through. From the time I opened my mouth to
sing for the Lord, I then knew why I was given my voice-to sing for Him!!! I love all different types of christian music,
so imitating voices as a little girl ended up broadening my horizons as a christian concert artist. God has used me through
the years as a soloist, and after many years of trials and tribulations of life, I am still giving God the glory! To
God be the glory, great things He has done!
